About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of data governance practices
Ensure the quality, compliance, and security of corporate information in alignment with business strategies and applicable regulations
Define and implement data governance policies, standards, and processes
Manage data quality, including monitoring, remediation, and prevention of inconsistencies
Ensure compliance with Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and other applicable regulations
Work with business and IT teams to define data ownership, data stewardship, and related roles
Participate in data integration and migration projects, ensuring adherence to governance practices
Prepare data quality and governance reports and metrics for stakeholders
Contribute to the development of a data-driven culture across the organization
Support Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Catalog initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Education: Bachelor’s degree completed
Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in data governance, data quality, or enterprise data management
Experience working in complex environments and digital transformation projects
Experience with Data Lakes, Big Data, and Cloud platforms (GCP/AWS)
Required knowledge of governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK
Knowledge of data modeling and metadata management
Knowledge of LGPD and regulatory compliance
Certifications such as CDMP or DAMA are preferred
Experience with data governance and data quality tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Talend, or SAP MDG is preferred
Analytical thinking and strategic perspective
Clear communication and the ability to influence stakeholders
Ability to work in dynamic environments with multiple priorities
Results-oriented mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
