About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, provision, and maintain scalable infrastructure for trading systems
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, observability stacks, and runtime environments
  • Administer and tune AWS Aurora, PostgreSQL, and ClickHouse databases
  • Automate provisioning and configuration of EC2 and related resources using Ansible and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
  • Ensure secure and stable environments through VPC design, IAM governance, and secret management
  • Build and maintain system metrics and alerts using Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki
  • Enforce GitHub repository and branching standards across development teams
  • Monitor infrastructure usage, optimize resources, and control costs across AWS and containerized deployments
  • Manage backup and disaster recovery procedures for critical systems
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to containerize services and tune runtime performance
  • Evaluate and integrate AI/LLM tools to improve automation, diagnostics, and operational efficiency
  • Support a high-performance, low-latency, front-to-back multi-asset trading platform

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of DevOps or SRE experience in high-availability, real-time systems
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and RDS
  • Experience with AWS cost monitoring tools such as AWS Budgets and Cost Explorer
  • Skilled in provisioning and configuration management using Ansible
  • Proficient in ClickHouse and PostgreSQL
  • Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash, or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and deployment automation
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging stacks; Prometheus/Grafana experience expected
  • Security-conscious with experience in IAM, encryption, and secure system design
  • Ability to monitor and optimize computing resources within budget constraints
  • Comfortable using AI tools for automation, diagnostics, or efficiency gains
  • Proficient in spoken and written English
  • Comfortable working in a global team with colleagues across APAC, EMEA, and North America
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interface with senior leadership, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to explain complex systems to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Chinese or other languages are a plus but not required
  • Terraform experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of kdb+ or InfluxDB is a bonus
