About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage all aspects of group sales for The Cloudveil and SpringHill Suites, Jackson Hole
  • Present the two hotel experiences and Jackson Hole destination to prospective clients
  • Grow group business and help hotels meet or exceed RevPAR, guestroom revenue, and food and beverage targets
  • Develop relationships with meeting planners, community leaders, Marriott Account and National Group Sales Executives, and industry partners
  • Represent both hotels at local and global industry trade shows
  • Use CI/TY, Marriott’s sales and events platform and CRM
  • Create accurate proposals and contracts for clients
  • Facilitate and lead site visits and property tours
  • Communicate event details and special arrangements to event management during turnover
  • Prospect for group business using internal reports and external resources
  • Update hotel sales channels, sales collateral, contract templates, and internal resources
  • Collaborate with Conference Services, Operations, Food and Beverage, hotel leadership, and community partners to create tailored group experiences and value-added programming

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 or more years of experience in hotel sales, preferably representing hotels in the premium or luxury full service hotel categories
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively, multitask, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to effectively liaise between hotel and client, communicating clearly in virtual meetings, over the phone, and via email
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent problem resolution skills
  • Sales aptitude, building relationships to assist with selling, upselling and re-soliciting business
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb or balance, and perform other physical activities required for the role
  • Ability to regularly lift/move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds
