About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Chief Procurement Officer and Interim Head of Supply Chain in formulating and executing the procurement strategic roadmap and enterprise procurement initiatives
  • Support key initiatives and forums with the Supply Chain organization
  • Recommend operational strategies and plans with direct impact on functional results
  • Manage Procurement’s strategic roadmap aligned to its vision, mission and priorities
  • Provide guidance, coaching and training to employees across the organization
  • Manage complex strategic projects involving multiple interfaces and cross-functional teams
  • Communicate with internal and external parties, including suppliers, partners and customers
  • Influence adoption of new concepts, practices and approaches
  • Conduct briefings to senior leaders in support of quarterly stakeholder engagements
  • Manage and lead key activities and processes supporting the CPO and Leadership Team
  • Serve as a thought partner to the CPO and contribute to strategic roadmap development and execution
  • Collaborate with Leadership Team members on leadership initiatives and meetings
  • Develop and circulate decision-driven meeting agendas and ensure effective pre-reads
  • Liaise with Decision Support Leads across the organization to align enterprise-wide strategic priorities
  • Coordinate processes, organizational changes, communications and outputs across Procurement
  • Connect and collaborate with Category Management and Sourcing Leaders
  • Report Global Procurement KPIs and progress against fiscal-year objectives
  • Implement improvement initiatives and coordinate complex cross-functional projects and programs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain or closely related field required
  • Advanced degree in listed disciplines preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, category management, or supplier management in the biopharmaceutical, biotech, or another highly regulated industry
  • Mastery-level knowledge of Procurement, Sourcing, and Category Management obtained through advanced education combined with professional experience
  • Advanced knowledge in Project Management
  • Experience within an international matrix environment managing global programs, projects, organizational change, cross-functional teams and events
  • Experience acting as a credible trusted partner to executive or senior leaders, including direct experience supporting a C-suite executive's strategic agenda
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and influence senior executive leadership regarding matters of strategic importance
  • Role model for CSL values
  • Strong stakeholder management background
  • Highly effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and emotional intelligence
  • Literacy in using technology to improve team collaboration and communication
