About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define the commercial direction for new mechanisms of action and disease areas
  • Lead a co-development/co-promotion cross-company partnership
  • Represent Commercial in R&D Product Strategy Teams
  • Influence early product strategy, TPPs, TPCs, Stage-Gate Preparation, and LCM Planning and Execution
  • Lead development and execution of multi-indication Product Strategy
  • Drive cross-indication accountability and leadership
  • Assess external indications, assets, technologies, and mechanisms of action for inorganic growth
  • Conduct data-driven commercial diligence and develop business development financial cases
  • Collaborate with Market Access, Insights and Analytics, US, and International partners
  • Influence portfolio investment and resource allocation decisions
  • Optimize the cardiovascular and renal portfolio across disease areas and risk profiles
  • Define and drive asset strategy aligned with business objectives and market needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Advanced degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field
  • 15+ years of experience in commercial development, strategy and/or analytics within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
  • Specific experience in Cardiology and/or Nephrology
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to influence and drive decision-making
  • Expertise in leading commercial assessments of external opportunities
  • Prior experience in BD+L/M&A, analytics, consulting and/or commercial strategy
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively with global teams
