About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure and architectures.
- Provision, manage, and automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools.
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and automated software delivery.
- Deploy, manage, and maintain containerized workloads and orchestration platforms, including Kubernetes and cloud container services.
- Manage and maintain cloud networking, databases, monitoring, logging, alerting, backups, and disaster recovery infrastructure.
- Perform day-to-day infrastructure operations, troubleshoot technical issues, respond to incidents, and contribute to post-incident reviews.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks and continuously improve infrastructure reliability, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with the Software Engineering and Data Engineering teams to design and deliver reliable, practical infrastructure solutions.
- Maintain clear technical documentation, runbooks, and operational processes.
- Support the migration and modernization of legacy systems and infrastructure.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or a similar role.
- Strong experience administering Linux servers and managing cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
- Hands-on experience designing and managing infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Hands-on experience managing Docker containers and Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and working with Git-based development workflows.
- Good understanding of cloud networking concepts, including VPCs/VNets, subnets, routing, VPNs, DNS, and load balancers.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability systems.
- Working knowledge of commonly used databases, such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Ability to write basic Bash, Python, or similar scripts for automation and operational tasks.
- Proven experience troubleshooting infrastructure and production issues and working effectively across engineering teams.
- Experience migrating, modernizing, or transitioning legacy systems and infrastructure.
- Good to have experience with data analytics and big-data services.
- Infrastructure or cloud certifications are a plus.
