About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform project controls services, including capital planning, portfolio and project governance, front-end planning, project funding, project setup, construction technology, procure to pay, project/cost/commercial management, schedule control, risk management, and project close-out
  • Participate in delivery of portfolios, programs, and projects
  • Support development and updates of client capital plans using cashflow and accrual information
  • Prepare front-end planning assessments
  • Facilitate funding processes by consolidating information into funding request documents
  • Set up project systems and coding with clients and communicate requirements to contributors
  • Enable project governance through relevant, fact-based reports
  • Support construction technology operations and information flow
  • Develop project sourcing strategies and procure-to-pay structures
  • Forecast and predictively influence project outcomes
  • Review and analyze schedule development and progression
  • Identify, quantify, and monitor risks and develop mitigation plans
  • Ensure effective project closure, including completion of financial activities
  • Support cost controls for multi-phase projects and complex funding structures
  • Provide feedback for process improvements
  • Attend work during normal business hours
  • Partner with management to develop new customers and grow the existing customer base
  • Build relationships with peers, leaders, clients, and AEC professionals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Demonstrated technical competency in project controls service offering, including project setup, construction technology, procure to pay, project, cost and commercial management, schedule control, risk management, and project close-out
  • Proficient in cost estimating for construction projects, including conceptual and detailed estimating
  • Pricing expertise in various phases of construction work
  • Strong research skills and ability to allocate relevant data
  • Understanding of construction technology, construction economics, construction delivery methodologies, local tax and insurance requirements, general conditions, and general requirements
  • Understanding of construction law in the local market, methods of measurement, and parametric, top-down, and bottom-up estimates
  • Ability to analyze, compare, and interpret detailed and sometimes poorly defined information
  • Ability to integrate effectively with other departments and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Skilled in ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle
  • Highly proficient in Excel
  • Proficient with Primavera P6 and MS Project
  • Functionally proficient in contracts management, cost management, Power BI, and project information management systems such as Procore or ACC Build
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, civil, structural, MEP, geotechnical, site logistics, and schedule documents
  • Ability to understand contracts and specifications and review construction schedules
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field (preferred)
  • 8+ years in Project Controls or related roles
  • MRICS, CPE, CCE, CEP, PMP, or Six Sigma certification (preferred)
  • Prior experience working on large-scale data center projects (preferred)
