About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the project-wide QA/QC plan
  • Establish inspection and testing protocols for mechanical, electrical, structural, and equipment installations
  • Lead quality meetings with contractors, engineering teams, and the owner
  • Manage project quality documentation, including DWNs, NCRs, RFIs, QA logs, and closeout requirements
  • Observe commissioning meetings and update senior project management on progress, targets, and risks
  • Collaborate with construction teams to integrate equipment and system components into the construction schedule
  • Verify General Contractor commissioning and quality program deliverables
  • Ensure equipment maintenance through handover
  • Maintain the warranty program and follow up on warranty tasks
  • Review documentation for completeness and compliance with AHJ, General Contractor, and owner requirements
  • Support Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security requirements and programs
  • Coordinate with the owner on quality matters
  • Review contractor Quality Control Plan components, forms, control activities, testing, and procedures before construction
  • Participate in internal and external site audits
  • Monitor implementation of the approved site Quality Assurance Plan
  • Coordinate with the site construction lead on quality issues and provide technical support
  • Ensure technical site quality-control documents are utilized
  • Manage the owner’s third-party special inspection agencies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 8 years of construction experience and quality control management or industrial Building Inspector experience
  • Ideally, experience in data center or industrial projects
  • General knowledge of applicable codes and standards
  • Knowledge of QAQC CPM scheduling in the construction environment
  • Experience interpreting and enforcing contract requirements, drawings, specifications and applicable codes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
  • Experience with document control and commissioning software programs would be beneficial
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture or engineering, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent experience in the field will be considered in lieu of formal education
