About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead small to medium project teams through every phase, keeping teams focused on project goals and success metrics
- Build high-performing teams with the Project Executive and project leaders, matching work to strengths and growth goals
- Shape scope, deliverables, schedules, and fees into complete proposals
- Support design and technical leads in delivering coordinated packages across multi-discipline, multi-phase projects
- Keep work plans, labor plans, schedules, and team tasks current
- Own project budgets and financial performance in Vantagepoint, align tasks with staff time, and pursue additional services before costs are incurred
- Manage day-to-day client relationships and review budget, schedule, and scope with clients
- Run internal and external meetings, including campus stakeholder and user group sessions
- Identify and manage project risk and raise issues with the Project Executive early
- Administer Owner and Consultant contracts and oversee technical submissions signed and sealed
- Support Market Leaders with staffing decisions and revenue projections
- Help grow higher education work in Southern California through pursuits, proposals, and interviews
- Use MS Office, Bluebeam, AIA Contracts, MS Project or similar, Deltek Vantagepoint, Revit/BIM 360, Miro, and Microsoft Teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of project management experience in architecture, engineering, or construction, managing projects from proposal through delivery
- Higher education project experience is strongly preferred, including academic and classroom buildings, student housing, student life, research and lab facilities, and campus renovations
- K-12 and/or healthcare project experience is a plus, not required
- Business development experience preferred, including client relationship building, pursuit strategy, proposals, and interviews
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
- Architecture License is a plus but not required
- PMP certification welcome but not required
- Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, scope, and contracts across multi-discipline teams
- Strong client-facing communication skills and comfort leading conversations on scope, schedule, and budget
- Proficiency with MS Office, Bluebeam, AIA Contracts, and MS Project or similar
- Working knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint
- Familiarity with Revit/BIM 360, Miro, and Microsoft Teams
