  • Execute tailored public relations and marketing communications tactics on client account teams
  • Conduct research, writing, media relations and monitoring, and event coordination
  • Write news releases, newsletter articles, pitches, social media posts and other content
  • Conduct online and traditional research
  • Coordinate and staff special events
  • Develop media lists, pitch media and document press coverage
  • Brainstorm concepts and design marketing collateral
  • Collaborate with senior-level public relations leaders and C-level client partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Seeking a degree or being a recent graduate in public relations, journalism or a related program
  • Knowledge of Associated Press (AP) Style
  • Confidence to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work respectfully with colleagues from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to complete assignments on time while juggling multiple projects
  • Accuracy in the execution of detail-oriented tasks
  • Previous internship experience preferred
  • Understanding of the news media and what makes a story newsworthy preferred
  • Certificate in Principles of Public Relations preferred
  • Student membership in the Public Relations Society of America, Florida Public Relations Association or similar professional associations preferred
  • History of community volunteering preferred
  • Familiarity with Notion, Harvest, Muck Rack, MailChimp, Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva preferred
