About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Meet and exceed area growth expectations through strategic sales initiatives and targeted market penetration
- Own bookings, renewal, and pipeline targets across the Central Area territory, covering new logo, expansion, and renewal motions across all product lines
- Develop subject matter expertise in company programs and current educational trends
- Recruit, train, coach, motivate, and manage Sales Directors
- Drive professional development, performance management, territory planning, and pipeline discipline
- Build relationships with high-level school district leaders in targeted accounts
- Deliver sales presentations for Curriculum Associates’ digital and print-based products
- Collaborate with service, research, marketing, product development, Partner Success, Professional Learning, Legal, and Finance teams
- Supervise and monitor sales plans and strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion
- Support the full customer lifecycle
Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in sales leadership roles, focused on education or related industries
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and exceeding revenue targets in a competitive market
- Strong leadership abilities with success recruiting, training, and motivating high-performing sales teams
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strategic, data-driven decision-making and understanding of market dynamics
- Proficiency in sales management software and CRM systems
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Understanding of the education landscape within the identified territory
- 5+ years of successful sales or management experience within the education market
- Intermediate/advanced proficiency with digital/technology solutions
- Travel over 80%, including driving and flying; some overnight travel required
