About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
Collaboration with auditors, tax advisors, and external consultants
Processing accruals and deferrals for receivables, provisions, and prepaid and deferred income
Supporting tax audits conducted by the tax authorities
Preparation of advance VAT returns
Reconciliation of the general ledger and subledgers
Optimization of finance processes and workflows
Participation in process design projects, including the further development of ERP software
Contributing to the development of policies and supporting their implementation
Close collaboration with senior management and external consultants

Requirements

What you’ll need

Commercial or business-related vocational training, or a degree in business or economics
Relevant additional qualifications, such as Certified Accountant (IHK) or Tax Specialist, are welcome but not required
Relevant professional experience in accounting
Experience with the responsibilities described above
Experience with an ERP system
Strong teamwork skills and an independent working style
