About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Document designs using 3D solid software (SolidWorks and/or OnShape) and 2D drafting software (AutoCAD)
  • Create detailed drawings of 3D models
  • Convert 2D drawings to 3D Onshape drawings
  • Maintain revision control on drawings and other controlled documents
  • Work directly with contractors to resolve drawing errors and provide solutions
  • Support sustaining engineering efforts and new product development
  • Collaborate with design engineers, the shop floor, and other departments to ensure accurate, timely, and manufacturable design documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Existing experience as Load King Engineering Intern in good standing with the company
  • Performing detail-oriented work requiring high levels of accuracy
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal daily direction from manager
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with a customer service focus with all levels of employees
  • Strong desire to learn
  • Preferred: Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, OnShape Inventor, AutoCAD, Draftsight, etc.
  • Preferred: Experience with MS Office, specifically Excel and Word
  • Preferred: Experience using Monday.com
  • Preferred: Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Outlook
  • Mechanical skills and experience with heavy trucks and equipment is a plus
  • Ability to sit and perform computer work
