About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create shipping documents and import and transit declarations via ATLAS
- Calculate import duties and prepare monthly statements
- Submit customs documents for review and apply for special customs duties and address other tax issues
- Cooperate independently with customs in cases of customs irregularities
- Prepare customs declarations and formalities for imports and exports in accordance with customs and tax law
- Prepare order instructions for import/export transactions and accompanying documents
- Cooperate with other operational departments
- Respond to customer inquiries and advise customers on operational customs matters
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong English language skills (minimum B2) are mandatory
- Solid German language skills (minimum B1) are mandatory
- Solid professional experience in import/export customs declarations
- Good knowledge of customs law and associated procedures
- Professional experience in freight forwarding and logistics is a prerequisite
- Completed commercial training as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk, freight forwarding and logistics services clerk, or comparable qualification
- Customer and service orientation
- Confident and experienced in using MS Office
- Good to very good English skills, written and spoken
- Experience with SAP GTS
- Solution-oriented approach and willingness to learn
- Initiative and flexibility
- Must be residing in Poland
- Legal right to work in Poland or visa sponsorship eligibility may be addressed during application
