About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead development of a real-time data visualization platform with AI-driven insights
Design, implement, and deploy features and bug fixes across the full software stack, from front-end UI to back-end services and data stores
Collaborate with product and design to translate user needs into well-scoped, high-quality technical solutions
Ensure system reliability and maintainability through automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
Participate in an on-call rotation and improve operational tooling and observability
Contribute to technical decision-making, architecture discussions, and code reviews
Mentor junior engineers and raise the overall quality and velocity of the team
Occasionally travel to customer sites to understand real-world usage and constraints

Requirements

What you’ll need

A relevant engineering degree or equivalent professional experience demonstrating a solid foundation in computer science
3+ years experience developing production software using Python and/or TypeScript
Experience building modern web applications with front-end frameworks (e.g., React) and back-end services
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, databases, and real-time or event-driven systems
Experience with data visualization, dashboards, or complex UI state is a strong plus
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote-first team
Comfort working in a startup environment with evolving requirements and high ownership
Willingness to travel occasionally, both domestically and internationally
Python, TypeScript, React, Supabase, MQTT, PostgreSQL, AWS, and GitHub development workflows
