About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and drive strategies, including resource development and deployment, to meet patient implant and revenue goals
  • Ensure execution of strategies and delivery on territory metrics
  • Use Salesforce, Salesforce dashboards, forecasting, and CVRx commercial business applications; teach others as needed
  • Maintain understanding of physiological and technical principles related to CVRx technologies and therapies
  • Support implants, follow-up procedures, and visits
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical assistance to healthcare providers and CVRx employees
  • Research solutions to technical inquiries and problems
  • Represent CVRx devices to cardiologists, hypertension specialists, and cardiac/vascular surgeons
  • Provide on-call clinical support, troubleshooting, physician training, and in-service education for hospital personnel
  • Provide R&D feedback on product enhancements and new product development ideas
  • Follow sales management processes and reporting systems
  • Maintain accurate device and programmer records in Salesforce
  • Collaborate with internal departments, physicians, healthcare professionals, investigators, and customers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS or equivalent degree in health sciences, engineering, or business, or a combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 7-10+ years of experience in medical device industry sales and business development with implantable medical devices
  • Required experience with products for cardiology or cardiovascular health, heart failure therapeutic devices, cardiac surgery therapeutic devices, or other related device sales
  • Ability to master medical, surgical, and active implantable medical device technology concepts
  • Knowledge of the cardiology device market and competitive devices, strategies, advantages/disadvantages
  • Experience executing commercial strategies for market development and program selling
  • Experience working with KOLs, APPs, and other key healthcare contacts in the territory
  • Understanding of insurance authorization challenges
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and closing sales skills
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to manage relationships
  • Ability to forecast performance and deliver to goals
  • Independent, self-motivated, resilient, and high-achieving
  • Ability to travel up to 75% annually, including some overnight travel
  • Reliable car and valid driver's license in good standing
  • Valid identification approved for domestic air travel within the U.S.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
  • Must meet lawful pre-screening and site-specific credentialing requirements
  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • Direct healthcare or clinical experience highly beneficial
