About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support Medicaid-wide analyses and reporting as part of the Medicaid Strat team
Work with Medicaid Plan actuaries to identify opportunities for new or refined analyses relevant to multiple markets
Standardize current Plan-level reporting
Automate existing Medicaid team reporting
Support Medicaid Health Plans and Medicaid Finance in RFPs for new and renewing business
Build skills necessary to become a well-rounded actuary
Build models and communicate analysis results to technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with a strong math background
2–5 years of job-related experience
Expertise in Excel
Demonstrated analytical and computing skills
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization
Expertise in SQL or equivalent preferred
Experience in model building and optimization is a plus
Multiple actuarial exams passed; close to ASA designation preferred
