About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead engineering teams building a consumer health experience on the Health100 platform
Identify, prioritize, shape, and execute complex platform initiatives
Design, oversee, and evolve scalable distributed systems, APIs, and AI-enabled platform capabilities
Recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing engineers
Lead engineering initiatives from strategy and prioritization through delivery
Establish KPIs and OKRs, proactively mitigate risks, and ensure operational excellence
Promote secure, compliant, and responsible use of AI technologies
Partner with engineering, product, design, security, analytics, and business teams
Guide integration and validation of complex technology solutions
Leverage Generative AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, and emerging technologies
Deliver scalable cloud-native and AI-enabled solutions that improve consumer experiences and business outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of software engineering experience
3+ years managing and growing high-performing engineering teams in Agile, cloud-native environments
Strong hands-on technical foundation in Java and microservices architecture
5+ years of cloud development experience, with GCP preferred
Ability to guide architecture decisions and evaluate engineering tradeoffs
Experience leading teams through the full software delivery lifecycle from discovery and design through deployment and production operations at scale
Experience delivering modern platform capabilities and leveraging AI-powered technologies, large language models (LLMs), intelligent automation, or data-driven solutions
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience
Alternatively, high school diploma plus 4 years of relevant work experience
