Requirements

What you’ll need

5 years of software development experience
Strong foundation in software engineering, including problem solving, data structures, algorithms, patterns, and concurrency
Strong understanding and demonstrated experience with at least one programming language, such as .NET or Java
Experience using full-stack development to ship and operate large-scale systems
Strong SQL skills and understanding of RDBMS such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL
Strong experience with distributed systems design, implementation, and operation at scale
Strong experience with cloud vendors such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
Clear and effective communication
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
Preferred: Familiarity with asynchronous, event-based architectures
Preferred: Experience with Kafka, REST APIs, Protobuf, gRPC, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
Preferred: Experience with application and performance monitoring platforms such as New Relic or Grafana
Preferred: Experience establishing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Preferred: Experience writing and maintaining frontend client applications; Angular/React preferred
Preferred: Experience with agile methodologies
