Partner with technical leaders and the open-source community on technical designs, frameworks, roadmap definition, and requirements gathering
Provide domain knowledge and engineering insight for early designs and project decision-making
Maintain oversight of technical execution and engineering excellence
Build reliable distributed systems
Execute the path from prototype to production for features
Collaborate with business, product, architecture, security, digital, and engineering teams
Deliver solutions addressing customer needs and complex challenges
Contribute to continuous improvement and automation initiatives
Support high-performing remote teams and foster a collaborative, inclusive team culture
Coordinate releases, prepare release notes, monitor production, triage issues, and coordinate across teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of Java development experience utilizing Spring Boot and/or Spring MVC
Ability to work in cloud platforms such as GCP and Azure
Experience with end-to-end DevOps pipelines
3+ years of experience developing and maintaining RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend systems
Strong skills in relational and/or NoSQL databases
Knowledge of software engineering principles including problem solving, data structures, algorithms, patterns, concurrency, agile methodologies, and sprint planning best practices
Experience coordinating release cycles, preparing release notes, and tracking development tasks and dependencies
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
High school diploma plus 4 years of relevant work experience as an alternative educational pathway
