Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a technical leadership or mentoring role
Proven experience designing and building backend services, APIs, or distributed systems in a cloud environment (Azure, AWS, GCP)
Strong understanding of architectural principles, system design, and engineering best practices
Demonstrated ability to take ownership, drive initiatives from concept to delivery, and remove ambiguity through action
Commitment to continuous learning and modern engineering tools, patterns, and AI-assisted development practices
Hands-on experience with Java, Kotlin, Python, C#, or TypeScript
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automated test frameworks, and observability solutions
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field OR equivalent relevant experience required
Preferred: healthcare, clinical systems, or regulated enterprise applications experience
Preferred: microservices architecture, event-driven patterns, or domain-driven design
Preferred: FHIR or HL7 knowledge
Preferred: engineering discussions, design reviews, and coaching junior engineers
Preferred: identifying technical risks, proposing solutions, and driving stakeholder alignment
Preferred: React, Angular, or mobile development exposure
Preferred: AI-powered developer tooling or automation experience
