About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure accurate entry of orders
  • Maintain pharmacy security
  • Adhere to required delivery schedules
  • Verify orders entered by technician staff for accuracy
  • Check completeness and precision of new and refill labels and orders
  • Check content and accuracy of drug packaging and labeling
  • Prepare and/or supervise sterile IV drug products or solutions, if required
  • Assist in maintaining perpetual inventory for Schedule II drugs
  • Provide routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services
  • Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled rotation
  • Follow applicable state and government regulations including HIPAA
  • Lead and foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and service
  • Prioritize pharmacy workflow
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be a licensed pharmacist in the state of North Carolina, active and in good standing
  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy
  • Long Term Care pharmacy experience preferred
  • Knowledge of DEA and state law regarding controlled drug dispensing
  • Ability to provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled rotation
  • Ability to follow applicable state and government regulations including HIPAA
  • Ability to work the stated schedule based on business needs
