About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, conduct, and document detailed and unbiased investigations into employee complaints and allegations
  • Gather relevant information, interview involved parties, and review pertinent documents and records
  • Ensure investigations comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry best practices
  • Maintain accurate and confidential investigation and employee relations records
  • Interpret and apply company policies, procedures, and practices consistently and fairly
  • Provide guidance and advice to managers and employees on policy-related issues
  • Prepare investigative reports summarizing findings and recommendations for resolution
  • Present findings to senior management and other stakeholders as needed
  • Assist with training on employee relations topics, including harassment, discrimination, and conflict resolution
  • Educate employees and managers on policies and procedures to prevent future issues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of HR, Employee Relations, Colleague Relations, Investigations or other relevant work experience
  • Proven investigations experience
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%, including plane travel
  • 5+ Employee Relations experience preferred
  • Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple investigations simultaneously
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; equivalent years of work experience may substitute
