About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Draft, prepare, review, negotiate and finalize IT and non-IT procurement contracts and related documents
  • Support enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, savings initiatives, supplier diversity and supplier integration for mergers and acquisitions
  • Analyze contract requirements and terms for compliance with laws, regulations, corporate policies and business requirements
  • Lead special projects and manage Contract Analysts for highly visible engagements
  • Communicate contract terms and conditions to internal and external stakeholders
  • Draft and negotiate scopes of work, service level agreements, financial incentives and turnaround times
  • Collaborate with Legal, Sourcing, Information Security, Risk Management, Privacy, Tax, Finance, Compliance and Internal Audit stakeholders
  • Support RFP development and address participants' legal questions during negotiations
  • Serve as key contact for escalated contract issues and disputes
  • Mentor and guide staff through coaching, development planning and continuous improvement
  • Maintain the Enterprise Procurement Process Manual and contract templates
  • Identify contractual risks and escalate issues to senior leadership
  • Present and educate business departments on Corporate Purchasing and Contracts Policies
  • Use Microsoft Office, SAP/Ariba Contract Management and other technology tools
  • Present complex deal concepts and non-standard provisions to senior leadership
  • Manage multiple high-visibility contracts and projects independently and collaboratively

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of related contract negotiations experience
  • 5+ years reviewing, editing and drafting contractual terms and conditions
  • 5+ years professional experience with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and high volume of contractual negotiations simultaneously
  • Experience advising senior leadership in a corporate environment
  • Verifiable Bachelor's degree from an accredited four year college or university required
  • Experience as a recurring user of Ariba Contract Management platform or similar tool highly preferred
  • Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) is a plus
  • Experience negotiating non-merchandise/indirect commodity purchases of goods and/or services deals/contracts preferred
  • Must report to work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week
