About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work closely with internal and external partners to support rebate and margin optimization strategies that reduce costs for participant clients
- Develop and assess strategic initiatives and opportunities using project management tools, complex data analyses, and stakeholder feedback
- Independently identify and evaluate new business opportunities to generate additional customer savings and margin opportunities
- Assess and document stakeholder needs and build solutions with internal teams and external partners
- Analyze and synthesize complex data into simplified, actionable summaries
- Communicate and present results and strategies to senior and executive leaders
- Extract data, develop analytic and financial models, and monitor results of strategic initiatives
- Train and mentor team members across a wide variety of topics
- Assist with process improvement and development projects related to modeling, contract evaluation, and reporting
- Support ad-hoc projects as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years work experience
- 5+ years of experience working with pharmacy claims data
- Deep understanding of Pharmacy Benefit Management
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience in data mining and data manipulation
- Ability to apply rigorous analytical techniques to develop recommendations for key business decisions
- Able to produce organized, clear, and concise presentations that summarize issues and opportunities for leadership evaluation
- Research and analyze the impact of complex business issues associated with Trade goals
- Adept at business intelligence
- Adept at collaboration and teamwork
- Mastery of problem solving and decision making skills
- Mastery of growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience working with pharmacy drug rebates and contracting
- Preferred: Ability to extract data from large databases
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
