About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the point person for value realization on high-value rebate contracts across Commercial, Health Exchange, Medicare, and Managed Medicaid segments
- Track and validate value delivered under manufacturer rebate agreements
- Ensure contracted discounts on branded pharmaceutical products are accurately realized, reconciled, and reported
- Resolve rebate and contract disputes with manufacturers in a timely, mutually acceptable manner
- Partner with the Executive Director and Vice President of Trade Relations on negotiation strategies
- Use value performance, utilization data, forecasts, and dispute trends to optimize contract performance
- Build and sustain relationships with manufacturers and industry partners
- Coordinate with finance, clinical, operations, and client teams on value drivers, forecast assumptions, and dispute positions
- Develop and deliver executive-level presentations on value performance, forecast shifts, and dispute outcomes
- Maintain accountability for rebate contracting outcomes from execution through realized value
- Expand the role and manage additional responsibilities
- Develop and manage people
Requirements
What you’ll need- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in managed care, which may include PBM, Pharma, market access, account management, specialty pharmacy, or other payor experience
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, as necessary
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to work with large claims and rebate data sets using Excel, SQL, Tableau, or similar tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Bachelor's degree required
- Master’s or advanced degree strongly preferred
- 4+ years of experience negotiating contracts in the Healthcare or PBM industry preferred
- Strong knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical rebates, 340B/other government programs, and prescription benefit designs preferred
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical pricing and reporting of pharmaceutical products preferred
- Experience managing, negotiating, or resolving rebate or contract disputes with pharmaceutical manufacturers preferred
- Familiarity with formulary management and how formulary positioning affects rebate performance preferred
- Ideally work within EST or CST
