About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead Commercial Dental valuation decisions and financial performance reviews covering all local markets across the nation
- Complete the Commercial Dental monthly reserving process, monthly financial close, quarterly premium deficiency reserves, planning, and forecasting process
- Complete monthly experience review, experience studies, and monthly Network Discount review for Medicare Dental and Commercial business
- Provide actuarial pricing, analysis, and strategic support for the Medicare Advantage Bid process
- Serve as primary point of contact and subject matter expert for Dental-related issues with AETNA peers and external consulting firms
- Work independently and cross-functionally with Finance, Market, and Network teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant healthcare experience
- Strong technical, analytical, and financial skill
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross functionally
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA), or demonstrated progress toward actuarial credentials
- Prior Commercial pricing/rating system/forecasting experience preferred
- Prior Dental and Vision experience preferred
