About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and coordinate market conduct exams across business and legal teams
- Serve as the primary contact for state regulators and external auditors
- Manage the collection, review, and submission of exam materials
- Coordinate responses to exam findings and regulatory inquiries
- Track and support corrective action plans through completion
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to exams and audits
- Provide guidance on state regulatory requirements and compliance expectations
- Work closely with regulators, business partners, compliance teams, and legal teams to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, or Market Conduct Exams
- Experience working with healthcare benefits
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Experience leading projects and coordinating cross-functional teams
- Ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of an organization
- Strong judgment and ability to identify and escalate risks when needed
- Ability to travel up to 20%
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Preferred: Experience supporting audits or market conduct exams in healthcare, managed care, or pharmacy benefit management (PBM)
- Preferred: Experience working as a state market conduct examiner
- Preferred: Project management experience, including developing corrective action plans
- Preferred: Experience working directly with regulators, auditors, or examiners
