Key responsibilities & impact

Perform third-party insurance claim billing associated with dispensed medication using the billing method required by the payer
Transmit or submit paper and electronic claims to insurance payors for reimbursement
Resolve insurance problems and patient issues resulting from incorrect or incomplete information, therapy changes, or pharmacy or shipping errors
Maintain supporting chronological notes detailing actions taken to resolve billing edits
Maintain patient demographic and insurance information and data collection systems, including billing reports, queues, and diversions according to payer and company policy guidelines
Research and respond to insurance companies and governmental payors regarding billing issues or related questions by telephone, internet, and in writing
Contact patients, physician offices, or insurance carriers as needed to expedite billing claims
Provide timely and accurate billing while delivering customer service to patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance carriers
Work as part of the billing and reimbursement team in a fast-paced, team-focused environment

Requirements

What you’ll need

1+ years of Healthcare Insurance Billing related experience
Experience using Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word
Must be able to commute to the Monroeville, PA office
Insurance billing or collections experience
Customer service in a healthcare environment
Experience working in a healthcare reimbursement system
Effective customer service skills and experience showing ability to work in a team environment
Attention to detail
Ability to utilize analytical skills
Ability to communicate with clientele in a professional manner, both verbally and written
Verifiable High School Diploma or GED required
