About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Acquire new members through community event activity to generate leads and referrals
  • Assess customer needs for products and services using probing questions and listening skills
  • Service existing members and handle inquiries related to product utilization and benefits
  • Cross-sell ancillary and other applicable products to existing members
  • Retain existing members
  • Maintain knowledge of CMS and state regulations
  • Multitask and use a computer while interacting with prospects and members by phone
  • Capture relevant information in the Customer Relationship Management system (CRM)
  • Meet sales goals, conversion rates, and cross-sell rates for new member acquisition
  • Contact prospective members within performance-plan time limits
  • Achieve member retention targets
  • Maintain high member satisfaction
  • Develop expert understanding of company products, services, and processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Life & Health insurance license required within 60 days from the employment start date
  • Active use of computer for carrying out daily job activities
  • Ability to multi-task while talking on the phone
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Self-starter with positive attitude
  • Adaptable to high pressure, achievement-oriented environment
  • Drive to build, manage, and grow a book of business and become successful entrepreneur
  • High level of computer proficiency including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office package
  • Bachelor' Degree or equivalent work experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)
  • Ability to pass on an annual basis: American Health Insurance Plans (AHIP)
  • Continued Education (CE’s)
  • Product Certification
  • Required Security and Compliance
  • Client/Carrier Certifications
  • Any required CMS Certifications
  • Prior Medicare sales experience preferred
  • Bilingual preferred
