About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with facility leaders and staff to coordinate pharmaceutical services within long-term care facilities
- Guide development and evaluation of pharmaceutical services procedures
- Identify, evaluate, and resolve pharmacy-related concerns affecting resident care, quality of life, and regulatory compliance
- Ensure facilities remain compliant with federal regulations
- Complete clinical reviews required by federal and state regulations
- Own issue resolution and communicate early warning signs of potential issues
- Drive adoption of Omnicare programs and service offerings
- Promote organic growth and new business using existing customer relationships
- Conduct Executive Reviews and other customer meetings
- Collaborate with Account Management, Sales, Operations, and corporate functions
- Perform Medication Regimen Reviews and provide written reports
- Use OSC2OR software to generate MRRs and document recommendation responses
- Utilize the Minimum Data Set (MDS 3.0) to identify residents needing targeted focus
- Complete and transmit required consultant pharmacist summary reports
- Educate facility staff and perform functions required for new programs
- Work on-site in various client facilities within long-term care
Requirements
What you’ll need- Candidate should reside in Macon, Georgia or the surrounding area
- Active Pharmacy license in good standing in Georgia
- Ability to visit customer facilities located in Macon and surrounding areas in Georgia
- B.S. in Pharmacy or PharmD degree required
- Active Pharmacy license in good standing in Florida (preferred)
- 3 years of experience in a clinical pharmacy practice (preferred)
- 1 year of long-term care pharmacy practice (preferred)
- Immunization certified or willingness to become immunization certified (preferred)
- Certification in geriatrics and/or gerontology preferred
- Occasional weekend or overnight travel may be required
