About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work in a leading retail pharmacy company serving patients and customers
- Manage assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks
- Promptly, safely, and accurately fill patient prescriptions
- Provide caring service that exceeds customer expectations
- Ensure medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met
- Maintain professional and ethical standards and comply with Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations
- Demonstrate ethical conduct and maintain patient confidentiality
- Complete the CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program
- Expand Pharmacy Technician duties after completing registration, licensing, and certification requirements
- Build clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge through available tools and training
- Support the pharmacy team in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Licensure requirements vary by state
- Must satisfy all registration, licensing, and certification requirements according to the State’s Board of Pharmacy guidelines
- Ability to concentrate on tasks without distraction
- Customer service orientation
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Active listening skills
- Mathematical reasoning, including calculating a prescription’s day supply
- Problem resolution skills
- Ability to remain upright and move about on foot for sustained periods
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements, bending, stooping, and detailed visual tasks
- Ability to accurately convey and receive spoken instructions
- Close visual acuity for transcribing, viewing computer terminals, and inspecting small parts
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally and exert up to 10 lbs frequently
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting preferred
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred
- PTCB National Certification preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
