About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for patients and customers
  • Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off
  • Fulfill prescriptions promptly, safely, and accurately
  • Provide empathetic and personalized patient service and resolve or escalate patient problems
  • Offer immunizations and other patient services at the register and over the phone
  • Complete inventory activities including medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and waiting-bin inventories
  • Follow company SOPs, laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles
  • Support immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinics where permitted and trained
  • Where permitted, obtain Technician Immunizer status, prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients, monitor adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies
  • Travel voluntarily to other stores in the market to work shifts as needed
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, high-performing team and expand clinical and technical knowledge

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must comply with applicable state board of pharmacy requirements and laws governing pharmacy practice, including age, education, and licensure/certification requirements
  • If no state-mandated minimum age applies, must be at least 16 years old
  • If no state-mandated minimum educational requirement applies, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or a high school equivalency program
  • Must complete required training within the designated timeframe
  • Must satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements
  • Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
  • Ability to use mathematics for prescription fulfillment
  • Ability to complete physical duties including standing, lifting, reaching, repetitive finger movements, bending, and close visual work
  • Occasionally lift up to 20 lbs; frequently lift up to 10 lbs
  • Preferred: 1–3 years of previous Pharmacy Technician experience
  • Preferred: Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
  • Ability to work in the home store and across other market locations as needed
