About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Gain hands-on experience leading a retail team and engaging directly with customers
- Learn day-to-day store operations and retail management best practices
- Work alongside Store Managers and District Leaders
- Develop leadership skills and learn to motivate and manage a store team
- Analyze business performance and understand how operational and strategic decisions affect customer satisfaction and store results
- Support merchandise handling, inventory management, and stocking
- Help the store meet customer needs during busy periods, including evenings and weekends
- Gain exposure to staffing, talent development, customer engagement, and operational excellence
- Participate in leadership development with field and retail leaders
- Complete a business-focused project addressing an opportunity within the assigned store
- Present project findings and recommendations to leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently enrolled in an associate or bachelor's degree program
- Expected to receive an associate or bachelor's degree between May 2027 and May 2028
- Desired majors: Business Management/Administration, Hospitality, Entrepreneurship, Retail Studies, General Business
- Available to work 35 hours per week for the full 10-week program
- Flexible availability including days, evenings, and weekends
- 1–3 years of customer service experience in a fast-paced work environment such as retail, food service, or hospitality
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or managerial experience highly desired
- Interest in pursuing a career in retail store management
