Key responsibilities & impact

Provide financial tools and analytics to support network strategy aligned with market and business growth priorities
Develop in-depth knowledge of market dynamics and build cross-functional relationships with network, MEU, and commercial actuarial teams
Develop a quarterly, market-level discount review process
Inform Regional Leads and Chief Network Officers about benchmarking changes, gaps, and pressured areas for future negotiations
Provide field information on the impact and timing of new negotiations
Drive enhanced contract negotiation strategies using data-driven recommendations for MedRx and Behavioral Health
Support Aetna Whole Health / APCN Plus, joint ventures, and narrow network pricing across Commercial market segments
Validate and refine pricing using trend, PCRs, and area factors during Large Group Rate Review
Build tools and analyses supporting Priority Markets and Strategic/Enhanced Providers
Address state-specific standard contracts by selecting a competitive fee schedule consistent across state lines

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree required
5+ years of actuarial and/or analytical experience
Strong technical, analytical, and financial skills
ASA designation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Programming experience with SQL, SAS, Python, or R
Ability to provide superior customer service to internal and external constituents
Ability to thrive in a constantly evolving environment with competing priorities and deadlines
Critical problem-solving skills
Ability to generate new ideas, think strategically, and creatively solve poorly defined problems
