About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Medicaid-wide analyses and reporting as part of the Medicaid Strat team
  • Work with Medicaid Plan actuaries to identify opportunities for new or refined analyses relevant to multiple markets
  • Standardize current Plan-level reporting
  • Automate existing Medicaid team reporting
  • Support Medicaid Health Plans and Medicaid Finance in Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for new and renewing business
  • Build skills necessary to become a well-rounded actuary
  • Build models and clearly communicate analysis results to technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 2-5 years of job related experience
  • A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with a strong math background is required
  • Expertise in Excel
  • Demonstrated analytical and computing skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization
  • Expertise in SQL or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in model building and optimization is a plus
  • Multiple actuarial exams passed; close to ASA designation
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week
