Key responsibilities & impact

Negotiate, execute, review, and analyze contracts and handle dispute resolution and settlement negotiations with providers
Collaborate cross-functionally on provider compensation, pricing development, contractual information, negotiation, and reimbursement modeling
Identify and manage cost issues and execute cost-saving initiatives
Represent the company with customers and community groups
Manage contract performance against network quality, availability, and financial goals
Recruit providers to achieve network expansion and adequacy targets
Contribute to provider compensation and pricing recommendations and analyze related reports
Provide network development, maintenance, and refinement strategies for cross-market network management
Assist with strategic network configuration design, development, management, and implementation, including integration activities
Manage relationships with assigned providers and internal business partners
Resolve escalated issues involving claims payment, contract interpretation, and provider contract or demographic information
Interpret contractual requirements, including federal and state regulations and NCQA

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of progressive experience leading complex initiatives and delivering measurable business outcomes
5+ years of working knowledge in the healthcare industry, including competitor strategies, complex contracting options, financial and contracting arrangements, and regulatory requirements
Ability to manage multiple priorities while executing against timelines, budgets, and performance objectives
Experience identifying issues, analyzing data, and making sound decisions to drive operational and financial results
Experience influencing and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders
Ability to influence across a highly matrixed organization and partner effectively with market stakeholders
Knowledge of provider contracting systems and contract implementation processes, including contract loading, administration, and compliance oversight
Strong communication, critical thinking, problem-resolution and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred, or a combination of professional work experience and education
