About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as liaison between Aetna and assigned dental service organizations (DSOs)
- Act as a resource for DHMO, PPO, and Medicare dental products to DSO leadership and staff, providers, sales, and marketing
- Support achievement of Aetna Key Performance Measures
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Aetna dental products and market position
- Negotiate provider contract language and compensation at all organizational levels
- Manage DSO and large dental group accounts to support network strategic initiatives
- Analyze data to develop cost-of-care strategy and identify cost savings opportunities
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve provider concerns, document resolutions, and communicate outcomes
- Recruit providers to support network expansion and access needs
- Communicate early warning signs of potential issues and risks to management
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of experience in provider relations, network management, healthcare contracting, dental insurance, or a related healthcare environment
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, including manipulation and analysis of data via Excel
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong negotiation expertise
- Agility and flexibility towards changing priorities
- Must be able to travel up to 10%
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Preferred: 5+ years dental provider relations experience
- DSO experience a plus
- DHMO product experience
