About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as a business partner with various internal and external shareholders
Provide data and analysis supporting the unit’s healthcare mission
Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, regulatory reports, and financial packages
Create and modify SQL code and scripts to deliver accurate, actionable insights from complex data
Manage and validate data from multiple sources using SQL Server Management Studio
Communicate processes and requirements to business and technical staff
Use SQL to identify and analyze trends, enabling leadership to act on trends and outliers
Prepare complex ad hoc reports using SQL and Excel and create new reports as needed
Streamline processes and identify cost and time savings opportunities
Ensure premium accuracy through reconciliation reporting
Represent the finance team in plan/provider meetings as needed
Understand and articulate business drivers and market trends
Assist project teams as a subject matter expert

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of experience working with SQL or other database query languages (Intermediate to Advanced), and/or 3+ years of experience with financial planning and analysis
3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Excel (Intermediate to Advanced)
Hands-on experience with generative AI to improve productivity, automate routine tasks, and enhance decision-making
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills, including prioritization and escalation of issues when appropriate
Must be located in the US
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
Preferred degrees in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Math, Data Science, Computer Science, or related disciplines
