About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Plan, monitor, and manage internal projects for Aetna’s Supplemental Health business from initiation through completion
Secure required resources and manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes
Lead development of presentation materials and supporting content for recurring leadership forums
Manage ad hoc requests from senior leadership and produce polished materials under tight timelines
Coordinate cross-functional deliverables across actuarial, underwriting, sales, operations, product, strategic partnerships, strategy, and technology teams
Own internal and external reporting processes for the Supplemental Health organization
Manage concurrent workstreams using formal project management processes and tools
Track milestones, manage risks, and escalate blockers
Adapt project management approaches to initiatives of varying size and complexity
Benchmark deliverable quality and process efficiency against best practices
Advise the Head of Strategy and Chief of Staff on project status, risks, and prioritization
Serve as a subject matter expert on project management principles and practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years in a project management, strategy execution, or business operations role within the health insurance industry
Knowledge of Medical Benefits
Ability to develop executive-level presentations and communications
Proficiency in PowerPoint required
Strong cross-functional coordination skills
Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and stakeholders across a matrixed organization
Problem solving, decision making, and execution skills in a fast-paced environment
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Ability to translate complex inputs into clear, concise materials for senior leadership
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
PMP certification or equivalent project management credential preferred
Experience supporting a Chief of Staff, Head of Strategy, or senior executive in a healthcare or insurance organization preferred
Familiarity with health insurance products, operations, or reporting preferred
Experience working across actuarial, underwriting, sales, and operations functions preferred
