About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define product vision and strategic direction for the Epic domain
- Translate business goals into actionable product strategies tied to OKRs
- Define product roadmaps, manage and prioritize backlogs, and assess business cases
- Evaluate buy-versus-build opportunities and product scaling across business units
- Coordinate with engineering, data science, and user design teams in an agile environment
- Conduct user research and document detailed product requirements
- Design intuitive products and ensure they meet user needs
- Manage product launches, training materials, and end-user documentation
- Identify product improvements through quantitative analysis and user feedback
- Deliver executive-level reporting on product status, risks, and required decisions
- Develop testing procedures and governance for Epic assessments and documentation reviews
- Partner with training and change management teams to support readiness, adoption, and feedback
- Support approval of product iterations, schedules, releases, and roadmaps
- Support recruiting, hiring, and development of product and informatics talent
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years experience in Revenue Cycle Management, including charge capture, medical coding, back-end billing, claims submission, clearing house rules, EDI formats, collections, denial management, appeals, patient billing, and A/R
- 7–10 years of relevant work experience in product management and/or healthcare informatics
- Proven ability to drive strategic decisions, take ownership, and coordinate resources
- Ability to work with senior-level stakeholders and translate complex technical topics for varied audiences
- Data-driven approach to measuring product impact and evaluating success with analytics teams
- Skilled in change management and driving user adoption of clinical technology
- Epic certification(s) in relevant modules preferred
- Experience in Value Based Care, Medicare/Medicare Advantage, and Fee-For-Service preferred
- Understanding of financial operations involving capitation, shared savings, and bundled payments preferred
- Experience in regulated environments with data privacy and compliance considerations preferred
- Experience building and launching AI products preferred
- 3+ years as a Product Manager preferred
- Experience with data analytics and core healthcare metrics preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant equivalent experience
