About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and develop integration solutions between Workday and external systems such as payroll, benefits, HR, finance, and third-party applications
- Write code, develop software components, and implement complex functionalities according to project requirements
- Use Workday Studio to develop complex integrations involving multiple systems, web services, transformation logic, and data mappings
- Develop and configure Workday Extend apps and Workday Orchestration
- Leverage Workday Cloud Connect and other pre-built connectors
- Customize integrations to meet business requirements and Workday best practices
- Build integration workflows that enable data synchronization and automation
- Integrate software components and systems for seamless communication and interoperability
- Oversee deployment of integration solutions into production environments
- Assist with data migration into Workday and external systems
- Update integrations for Workday quarterly releases and new functionality
- Participate in Agile or other development methodologies, meetings, and project planning
- Collaborate with development teams, stakeholders, business analysts, and functional teams on architecture, requirements, scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Communicate with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and resolve integration issues
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers
- Provide production support, monitor integrations, manage inbound and outbound issues, and lead incident resolution
- Assess Workday releases and plan necessary integration updates
- Create and maintain technical documentation, system designs, architecture diagrams, and code documentation
- Guide and mentor developers, analysts, and technical staff on integration tools and processes
- Foster collaboration across teams and align integration efforts with organizational objectives
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of hands-on experience building Workday Integrations with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, PECI, and other relevant tools
- 5+ years' experience partnering with technical and non-technical stakeholders, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills
- 5+ years' experience resolving complex technical issues related to Workday integrations using strong analytical skills
- 5+ years' experience with Workday SOAP API, REST API, JSON, and Import API pattern
- 1+ year experience working on Workday Extend and Orchestration
- 1+ year demonstrated proficiency in Workday reporting, calculated fields and Studio
- 1+ year experience with Workday security, Core HCM business processes, and alerts
- Workday Integrations Pro certification preferred
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree required
- Master's degree preferred
