Key responsibilities & impact

Design and develop integration solutions between Workday and external systems such as payroll, benefits, HR, finance, and third-party applications
Write code, develop software components, and implement complex functionalities
Use Workday Studio for complex integrations involving multiple systems, REST/SOAP web services, transformation logic, and data mappings
Leverage Workday Cloud Connect and pre-built connectors
Customize integrations according to business requirements and Workday best practices
Build integration workflows that trigger business processes and enable data synchronization and automation
Develop and configure Workday Extend apps and Workday Orchestration
Integrate software components and systems for seamless communication and interoperability
Oversee deployment of integration solutions into production environments
Assist with data migration and transfer legacy data to Workday
Update integrations for Workday quarterly releases and new functionality
Participate in Agile or other development methodologies, meetings, and project planning
Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders on architecture, design patterns, scalability, performance, and maintainability
Work with functional teams and business analysts to understand requirements and align solutions with business needs
Communicate with stakeholders, gather requirements, provide updates, and resolve integration issues
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers
Support and monitor integrations, manage inbound and outbound issues, and lead incident resolution
Stay current on Workday features, updates, trends, tools, frameworks, and techniques
Assess Workday release impacts and plan integration updates
Create and maintain technical documentation, system designs, architecture diagrams, and code documentation
Guide and mentor developers, analysts, and technical staff
Foster collaboration across teams and align integration efforts with organizational objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of hands-on experience building Workday Integrations with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, PECI, and other relevant tools
5+ years' experience partnering with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
5+ years of experience resolving complex technical issues related to Workday integrations using strong analytical skills
5+ years' experience with Workday SOAP API, REST API, JSON, and Import API pattern
1+ year of experience with Workday reporting, calculated fields and Studio
1+ year of experience with Workday security, Core HCM business processes, and alerts
Bachelor's degree required
Experience working on Workday Extend and Workday Orchestrate
Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll configuration, payroll processing, payroll reconciliation, and reporting
Workday Integrations Pro certification
Workday Pro Workday Orchestrate Developer Certification
Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) Certification
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
