About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead design, development, and modernization of enterprise-scale healthcare platforms
Design and implement efficient, scalable solutions meeting business requirements and quality standards
Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions with architects and senior engineers
Provide input on technical feasibility, performance optimization, and scalability
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines
Communicate and coordinate with team members to align on decisions and provide technical insights
Help adopt best practices, new technologies, and tools to improve productivity, efficiency, and code quality
Participate in knowledge sharing through code reviews, tech talks, and workshops
Implement complex features and enhance existing functionality with other developers
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers
Partner with Product, Architecture, Security, Operations, and Engineering teams to build secure, highly available, scalable, and resilient healthcare applications

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of professional software development experience working with enterprise solution delivery in a large-scale distributed environment
7+ years of hands-on Java application development experience, including modern Java ecosystem frameworks
5+ years of Java and Springboot development experience
5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise cloud initiatives and cloud computing technologies
5+ years designing and developing modern microservices and cost-effective APIs
3+ years of CI/CD pipeline automation experience
3+ years working in an Agile-based development environment
Agentic AI / Generative AI experience preferred
Health and wellness domain experience preferred
Full-stack development experience with AngularJS, JavaScript, Oracle, and modern NoSQL databases preferred
Understanding of Generative AI concepts and techniques, including NLP, text generation and summarization, conversational AI, and chatbots preferred
Experience with NestJS, Node.js, and TypeScript preferred
Experience developing and managing Apollo GraphQL APIs, Federation, and API Gateway patterns preferred
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)
Ability to work in one of the listed U.S. states or Washington, D.C.
