Key responsibilities & impact
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues from user and support tickets across frontend and backend
  • Classify issues by type and severity, respond to urgent issues and drive fixes to completion
  • Document frequent issues as troubleshooting guides and FAQs
  • Reproduce problems with support and product teams
  • Provide data corrections or workarounds when needed
  • Prioritize production issues from enterprise customers, track progress and update stakeholders
  • Build frontend and backend feature improvements through testing and release
  • Improve performance, refactor code and reduce technical debt
  • Optimize frontend interactions, page load speed, backend APIs and database queries
  • Participate in requirements reviews and provide technical feasibility input
  • Grow into a full-stack engineer while learning CWILL's systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field
  • Class of 2026 or recent graduate
  • Proficiency in at least one backend language: Java, Go, Python or Node.js
  • Good grasp of common data structures and algorithms
  • Frontend basics: HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Experience with React or Vue
  • Knowledge of HTTP, RESTful API design and MVC
  • Ability to build basic APIs independently
  • Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • Ability to write SQL and understand indexes and transactions
  • Comfortable using Git for version control and team collaboration
  • Good coding habits with attention to readability and maintainability
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and solve problems by reading documentation
  • Logical problem-solving and ability to explain technical choices
  • Good communication and ownership
