About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own cloud-native microservices behind Cyderes’ Security-as-a-Service platform from design through production
Design, build, and operate scalable, secure microservices with minimal oversight
Translate customer needs and business goals into technical requirements and drive them to delivery with product, security, and operations partners
Deploy to AWS, GCP, and/or Azure using Terraform
Run containerized workloads on Docker and Kubernetes
Ship well-tested code and improve automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
Review code and designs and mentor teammates through pairing and constructive feedback
Build securely to protect applications from vulnerabilities
Use AI-assisted and spec-driven development tools
Maintain documentation for owned systems
Participate in the on-call rotation for production incidents

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of professional software development experience
Strong skills in Go or Python
Experience building APIs and microservices
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Terraform
Experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins
Working knowledge of observability tools (e.g., OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic)
Familiarity with core cybersecurity principles
Experience with spec-driven development or other agentic development tools
A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
