About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute account growth strategies for assigned DHS accounts, components, and pursuits, prioritizing CBP and CISA and expanding into DHS Headquarters and USCIS
  • Leverage customer relationships, mission knowledge, and industry connections to accelerate customer access and pipeline development
  • Identify priority organizations, programs, mission areas, technology initiatives, whitespace, and expansion opportunities
  • Build account plans aligned to DHS modernization priorities, operational requirements, budget cycles, and acquisition pathways
  • Establish trusted relationships with DHS mission owners, program managers, technical leaders, acquisition professionals, contracting stakeholders, and senior decision-makers
  • Engage customers early to understand mission challenges, modernization priorities, funding, and emerging requirements
  • Shape opportunities before formal solicitation and position CyKor and technology partners around mission outcomes
  • Create, identify, qualify, and maintain a balanced pipeline using customer engagement, OEM collaboration, industry relationships, market intelligence, and contract research
  • Track DHS procurement strategies, contract vehicles, recompetes, task orders, IDIQs, BPAs, budget activity, forecasts, RFIs, sources sought notices, and draft solicitations
  • Maintain opportunity data, customer intelligence, next actions, pipeline progression, and forecasts in Salesforce (SFDC)
  • Own pursuit strategy and execution from identification through contract award, including competitive positioning, win themes, partner strategy, milestones, and resources
  • Coordinate with Solution Architects, Delivery, Capture/Proposal, Alliances, Marketing, Operations, Contracts, Finance, and leadership
  • Develop RFI, sources sought, and proposal contributions; coordinate partner inputs and participate in proposal reviews
  • Prepare and present Bid Council recommendations and execute approved decisions
  • Coordinate documented handoff to Delivery and remain accountable for account growth during execution
  • Identify follow-on requirements and repeatable opportunities across DHS components
  • Develop joint pursuits and account strategies with Federal system integrators and OEM partners
  • Originate engineering, integration, modernization, and services opportunities
  • Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to strengthen technology strategy and partner relationships
  • Engage SBDN advisors and own resulting pursuit actions, Salesforce records, and forecasts
  • Represent CyKor in customer meetings, industry engagements, conferences, partner events, and DHS-related forums
  • Communicate CyKor's value proposition and connect technical capabilities to homeland security mission outcomes
  • Build and maintain a professional network across the DHS customer, OEM, integrator, and partner ecosystem

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of technology sales, business development, capture, or account management experience within the Federal market
  • Demonstrated experience selling technology solutions into the Department of Homeland Security or its component agencies
  • Established customer relationships within at least one priority account: CBP, CISA, DHS Headquarters, or USCIS
  • Proven track record developing pipeline, identifying requirements, expanding accounts, and closing complex Federal technology opportunities
  • Strong understanding of the Federal acquisition lifecycle, budget process, procurement environment, contract vehicles, and contracting mechanisms
  • Experience engaging mission owners, program leaders, technical stakeholders, acquisition organizations, contracting personnel, and executive decision-makers
  • Experience influencing opportunities before formal solicitation
  • Experience shaping Federal pursuits, preparing bid/no-bid recommendations, and contributing to RFIs, sources sought responses, and proposals
  • Experience developing solutions with Federal system integrators and technical teams, selling engineering or professional services, and developing workshare and pricing strategies
  • Experience managing pipeline, opportunity progression, account activity, and forecasting within Salesforce (SFDC) or comparable CRM
  • Ability to work across technical, operational, contracting, partner, and executive teams
  • Active Secret clearance
