About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own and optimize the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay process from purchase requisition to invoice
Design, standardize and document procurement processes
Ensure compliance with approval workflows and procurement policy
Optimize interfaces with Accounting, including three-way matching
Act as business owner of SAP S/4HANA MM in procurement
Drive SAP rollout and optimization with IT and external partners
Ensure clean procurement master data and enable users
Build and own a KPI-based procurement steering model
Create dashboards and regular management reporting
Align procurement planning with budgets and forecasts with Controlling
Validate savings and make cost developments transparent
Develop category strategies and conduct spend and market analyses
Manage RFI/RFQ processes and lead negotiations for indirect materials and services
Handle operational purchasing for urgent or ad-hoc requirements when needed
Drive procurement automation and digitalization using AI tools, workflow automation and SAP standard functionalities
Report to the Head of Procurement and collaborate closely with Procurement, Finance, Controlling, IT and external partners

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 6 years of professional experience in strategic and operational procurement
Several years of experience in a role with process or system responsibility
Ideally experience in an industrial or scale-up environment
Degree in business administration, industrial engineering or a comparable field, ideally focused on procurement, supply chain management or finance/controlling
In-depth expertise in SAP S/4HANA MM, including integration with FI/CO
Experience actively shaping SAP implementation or optimization projects
Experience designing and optimizing end-to-end P2P processes, including approval workflows, master data management and policy compliance
Strong analytical skills and digital tools experience
Experience with procurement controlling, KPI systems and management reporting
Ideally hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI and AI-based automation
Understanding of the financial impact of procurement decisions, including P&L, budgets, accruals and cash flow
Experience leading cross-functional projects and driving change without disciplinary authority
Strong negotiation skills
Sound knowledge of contract law
Structured, hands-on working style and initiative
Business-fluent German and English
