About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build a reliable and scalable supply chain for battery recycling
  • Ensure efficient processing and on-time delivery of customer orders
  • Build and further develop an integrated supply chain and order fulfillment organization
  • Connect material flows, customer order management, supplier integration, and external logistics providers
  • Act as the central interface between customers, Sales, Operations, Production, and Procurement
  • Manage the entire order fulfillment process and align customer requirements, demand forecasts, production plans, and material availability within S&OP/IBP
  • Develop scalable warehousing concepts and design inbound and outbound logistics for the new site
  • Define transportation concepts, packaging specifications, handling standards, delivery processes, and KPIs
  • Establish standards for the storage, handling, and transportation of batteries and dangerous goods, and ensure compliance with ADR, IMDG, and IATA requirements
  • Support the introduction and continuous improvement of processes based on SAP S/4HANA and associated system interfaces
  • Manage inventory and material availability
  • Develop processes, SOPs, workflows, and performance measurement and management systems
  • Lead coordination with relevant stakeholders
  • Prepare strategic presentations, business cases, performance reports, and decision papers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with a focus on production engineering, or a comparable field
  • At least three years of professional experience in supply chain management, S&OP, operations, or manufacturing
  • Ideally, experience in an industrial, chemical, or automotive company
  • Knowledge of dangerous goods handling and relevant regulations, particularly ADR and REACH
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA or a comparable ERP system, particularly in supply chain, inventory management, order management, or order fulfillment
  • Strong project management skills and experience managing cross-functional projects from planning through implementation
  • Analytical approach and data-driven decision-making
  • Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on mentality
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels
  • Professional and fluent written and spoken German
  • Good command of English
  • Willingness to travel between Aachen, Dormagen, and Wernberg-Köblitz as needed
