About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements with stakeholders, Product Managers, and technical teams.
- Translate requirements into user stories with business context, acceptance criteria, business rules, dependencies, and edge cases.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings to uncover needs, resolve ambiguities, and clarify objectives.
- Maintain and refine the product backlog with Product Owners.
- Ensure requirements and user stories are testable, traceable, and aligned with business goals.
- Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and product demonstrations.
- Analyze processes and systems to identify gaps, customer pain points, and improvement opportunities.
- Help prioritize features based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility.
- Work with development and QA teams to clarify requirements and support validation against acceptance criteria.
- Maintain documentation of workflows, requirements, and business rules.
- Contribute to software and digital transformation projects for utility services, CIS, billing processes, and customer self-service portals.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience as a Product Analyst in a product or technology-driven environment.
- Proven experience gathering requirements and writing user stories and acceptance criteria within an Agile/Scrum framework.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with the utility industry, CIS billing systems, or regulated markets.
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Trello, or Azure DevOps.
- Ability to translate complex business needs into actionable requirements for development and QA teams.
- Strong communication, facilitation, documentation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to collaborate across functions and manage multiple priorities.
- Advanced English, spoken and written.
- Based in LATAM.
- Preferred: at least 2 years of experience in the utility industry, customer self-service portals, or CIS billing systems.
- Preferred: experience with SAP IS-U, Oracle CC&B, Oracle C2M, or VXcis.
- Preferred: understanding of meter-to-cash lifecycle, billing determinants and rate structures, adjustments and rebills, payments, autopay, and payment posting.
- Preferred: experience supporting customer self-service portal features including bill viewing and payment, usage and interval data visualization, service start/stop/transfer, notifications, alerts, and paperless billing.
- Preferred: experience with customer journey mapping and pain-point analysis.
- Preferred: familiarity with integrations through APIs or middleware.
- Preferred: experience with process modeling, workflow diagrams, or wireframes.
